A Must-see For Newbies! Super Detailed Tutorial On Win7 Hard Drive Installation, Easy To Get Started In Just A Few Steps
For many friends who have just started to use computers, reinstalling the system on the computer always feels like a very profound thing.
In the past, you had to find CDs and make bootable USB flash drives, which would make your computer worse if you were not careful.
In fact, in the Windows system environment you have now, directly using the hard disk to install the win7 system is a method that can save trouble and reflect high-efficiency features.
Today, I want to share with you a "hard disk installation method" that I have personally tried many times. With the help of a small tool called NT6 HDD Installer, the entire process does not require any external equipment. Follow the steps step by step, and even a novice can achieve system deployment stably.
Step 1: Prepare necessary installation files
First of all, before you start, this is a prerequisite. You must prepare two things first. This is a behavioral action. One is the ISO image file of Windows 7 Ultimate. This is the first object to be prepared. The other is today's protagonist. This is the positioning description of the second object, the NT6 HDD Installer tool. This is to specify what the second object is.
To find the image file, you can directly search for "win7 ultimate version download" on Baidu, or search for "win7 system download". Generally, the resources provided in the tutorials with the Baidu experience logo in the front position will be relatively reliable.
As for the small program NT6 HDD Installer, you can also find it through a search engine. Be careful to get it from a regular software download site to avoid bundling unnecessary plug-ins.
Download both files and put them on your computer's local hard drive for later use.
Step 2: Extract the file correctly to the same location
This step is very critical. Many people cannot install it because the file location is wrong.
After completing the download, look for the Win7 ISO file that you just saved, right-click on it and select "Extract to current folder". Be careful not to mistakenly select "Open with" or other options.
All extracted files will be placed in a folder named after the image name.

Next, unzip the downloaded NT6 HDD Installer compressed package. You need to unzip it to the root directory of the same hard disk partition, such as the root directory of the D drive (that is, it is placed directly in the D drive, rather than nested in other folders).
Then, cut or copy all the contents of the folder just extracted from Win7 (note that it is all files and folders, not the entire parent folder), and place them under this root directory, and place them together with the files extracted from NT6 HDD Installer, in a parallel state.
This way the installer can find the required system files.
Step 3: Run the tool and select the installation mode
Find the root directory of the hard disk where you just placed the file, find the nt6 hdd installer.exe file, and double-click it to run it.

At this time, a command line window will pop up on the screen, showing instructions for several installation modes.
Select according to the system version you are using at the moment. If your current system happens to be Windows 7, then there will usually be a prompt on the interface asking you to enter the corresponding number.

Take a careful look at the description, find the item that is suitable for Win7, type the number 2, and then press the Enter key to confirm.
If prompted that administrator privileges are required, right-click and select "Run as administrator".
Step 4: Restart and enter the installation environment

After the tool runs successfully, the interface will prompt you to restart your computer.
In response to the relevant prompts displayed on the screen, enter the number 2 and then press Enter, so that the computer will automatically restart.
This restart is different from the usual situation. An additional new option will be added to the startup menu, such as "'NT6 HDD Installer'" and similar names.

There is no need to press any keys, the computer will usually automatically select this new option to enter the installation environment.
If it is not entered automatically, when the machine starts, you can use the up and down arrows to select it manually, and then press the Enter key.
Step 5: Start the formal installation process

After entering the blue Windows installer interface, you must first select the language, time and input method. Usually the default Chinese (Simplified) is enough, and then click "Next" directly.
Then click "Install Now".
In the interface that appears after that, select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next".

Here comes the most critical step: when selecting the installation type, be sure to select "Custom (Advanced)" so that you can proceed with the next hard disk operation.
In the drive list, select the partition where you originally planned to install the system. This partition is usually listed first and marked with "system" or "boot", such as disk 0, partition 1, and then click "Format" below.

The system will pop up a confirmation warning. Click "OK" to complete the format and confirm that there is no important data in this partition.
Then keep this partition selected and click "Next" directly.

Leave the computer to deal with the rest, and the file expansion and installation process will proceed on its own, perhaps restarting itself once or twice, just let it do its thing.
Step 6: Complete personalization settings
When all the automatic installation steps are completed, restart the computer, and then the computer will enter the Windows 7 first-time configuration interface.

In this case, you need to do some simple settings: enter a user name (just like your name or English name, this is a must), the computer name will be generated automatically and cannot be changed.
You can leave the product key blank first and continue without filling it in. The same goes for activating after entering the system.

Set a power-on password (if you don’t want to set a password, you can just leave it blank).
Generally speaking, the selected time zone is "Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region", and the time and date are often automatically calibrated.
Follow the on-screen prompts step by step until you see a brand new desktop.
Step 7: Check the system and simple optimization

After successfully entering the desktop situation, the newly installed Windows 7 system is extremely pure.
You might as well take a look at the system resource usage: press Ctrl + Shif + Esc on the keyboard to open the task management system, then click on the tab with the attribute "Performance", and then take a look at the physical memory usage.
The memory usage of a newly installed pure Win7 Ultimate Edition after booting is generally around 500MB, or even lower, which shows that the system runs quite briskly.

At this time, you can install the driver (this driver can be downloaded with the help of the driver wizard, or go to the official website of the computer brand to download), and then install commonly used software and security protection tools.
In fact, installing Windows 7 on the hard disk is not as mysterious as imagined. As long as you place the files in the correct location and follow the steps, there will basically be no major problems.

This method eliminates the trouble of making a bootable USB disk and finding a CD, which is especially suitable for novice friends who do not have external devices at hand.
By following the above process, you can also handle the system installation independently.
Imagine that when you are performing an installation operation, you encounter a situation where the hard disk cannot be found, or a boot error occurs. At this time, you must have this awareness and check first to see if the file is correctly decompressed to the location of the root directory, and whether the startup items are correctly selected during the restart.
Try it a few times and you'll find it's easier than you think.
