Teach you how to set up a dynamic lock screen in three steps and get new surprises every day
When you turn on your computer every day, all you see is the same lock screen wallpaper. As time goes by, you will inevitably feel a little aesthetic fatigue.
In fact, the Windows system has considered this a long time ago and has prepared an extremely practical function for us, which is the dynamic lock screen.
This function can make your computer lock screen interface, like a mobile phone wallpaper, automatically change to different pictures every period of time, and even make intelligent recommendations based on your preferences.
Whether you prefer to watch blockbusters that are rich in beautiful scenery, or you prefer to display your favorite photos in a loop, dynamic lock screen can meet your needs.
What's particularly important is that the setup process is not complicated. Even if you are not very familiar with computer operations, you can easily achieve it by following the steps below.
Find the entrance to the dynamic lock screen
First we need to enter the computer’s settings interface.
Click the menu named "Start" in the lower left corner of the screen. In the pop-up menu list, find the gear-shaped "Settings" icon. Click the icon to open the main page of Windows Settings. This operation is really simple.
If there is a search box on your taskbar, you can also directly enter the word "settings" to quickly open it.
After entering the settings interface, you will see many functional options. Here, we have to click on the "Personalization" option.
The personalization settings cover computer themes, backgrounds, and colors, as well as related options such as the lock screen interface.
After entering the personalized page, find the "Lock Screen" label in the menu bar on the left, and then click it. All the settings of the current lock screen interface will be displayed on the right. What we need to adjust next is the content here.
Switch background type and choose image source
In the lock screen settings page, you can see a drop-down menu called "Background", which displays the type of lock screen background you are currently using.
Click on this drop-down menu and select "Dynamic" among the several options that appear.
After the selection operation is made, more setting options will appear at the bottom of the page. Among these options, the most important one is the "Use dynamic content as lock screen interface" section.
Here, the system gives us three different content source channels, namely: Windows Focus, pictures and slideshows. You can choose one of them according to your preferences and needs.

If you live a fast-paced life and don't want to spend time selecting pictures, or you want to see some new and interesting content every time you lock the screen, then Windows Focus is specially created for you.
When this option is turned on, the system will automatically connect to the Internet to download high-quality pictures officially recommended by Microsoft. These pictures are generally from photographers or artists around the world. Their content includes landscapes, animals, architecture, humanities and other different fields, and the quality is quite high.
What's particularly important is that it can learn your preferred image categories step by step based on your usage habits and interests, and then push out works that better suit your preferences.
When you lock the screen, in addition to beautiful pictures, sometimes there will also be some interesting tidbits or popular recommendations. If you like a certain picture, you can click the "Like" button on the screen to give positive feedback, so that the system will push more similar styles next time.
Create your own lock screen with custom photos
If your computer contains many travel photos you took, family photos, or beautiful wallpapers downloaded from the Internet, and you want them to be displayed in turn on the lock screen, then the two options of "Pictures" and "Slideshow" can play a great role.
After selecting the "Picture" mode, the system will randomly select a picture from a folder you specify as the lock screen background.
Click the "Browse" button mentioned below, find the folder where you placed the photos in the pop-up window, and select it.
In this way, it has a simple and straightforward feature. Whenever you perform a lock screen operation, you will see different images. However, only one image will be displayed at a time and will not rotate by itself.
If you want the lock screen interface to be like a slide show, looping through multiple pictures in a certain order and at intervals, then you should select the "Slideshow" option.
First, select "Slideshow", then click the "Add Folder" button. After that, you can add one or more folders at a time for storing pictures.
The system will collect all the pictures in the folders you added, and then according to the time interval you set, which can be adjusted in the advanced settings, it will automatically switch to the next picture every time the screen is locked.
In this way, your lock screen becomes a never-ending personal photo show. Every time you turn on the computer and open it, you will get a small surprise.
If you want to delete a folder, it is not complicated. You only need to click the "Delete" button set next to the folder.
After setting up a dynamic lock screen, your computer lock screen experience will be completely upgraded.
Whether it's the surprise with unknown meaning brought by Windows Focus or the slideshow made from your own carefully selected photos, both of them can make you full of anticipation every time you light up the screen.
If one day you find that you are tired of looking at dynamic effects, or you plan to turn off this feature, you only need to return to the "Lock Screen" settings page in "Personalization" and select the "Background" drop-down menu back to "Picture" or solid color style, and the previous dynamic settings will be replaced.
Of course, you can go back at any time to adjust the image folder or change the source of the content. The entire operation is extremely flexible and free.
It only takes two or three minutes to set it up once, and then you can enjoy this changeable beauty for a long time. This is really a small trick to improve the happiness of using the computer.
